Targets to Expand Active and Engaged Learning
Over the next five years, Michigan State will work to achieve a number of key goals that will advance our commitment to active and engaged learning.
These include commitments to
- becoming the leading public university for students engaged in internships abroad
- increasing the number of students involved in service-learning and civic engagement from one-third to one-half of our undergraduates;
- increasing benchmark scores on the National Survey of Student Engagement by 10 percent in the areas of active and collaborative learning, student-faculty interaction, and enriching educational experiences.
As we work together toward these commitments, we advance the goals of Boldness by Design. At the same time, we honor the core mission and values that have guided us for more than 150 years and that continue to shape our future.
